Summary of the contracting process

The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is conducting a tender for the "Mechanical, Electrical & Building Fabric Minor Works Framework Agreement". This framework, which encompasses three Service Lots (Mechanical, Electrical, and Building Fabric), is primarily focused on minor works at the Kew Gardens and Wakehurst locations in the South East of England. The procurement method utilised is a limited competitive quotation process, with the tender submission deadline set for 12:00 midday on 9 September 2019. The contract period will run from 25 October 2019 to 24 October 2023, with an estimated value of £4,000,000.

This opportunity presents a significant avenue for business growth, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that specialise in mechanical, electrical, and building maintenance services. Companies already engaged in construction works, installation services, and other related areas will find a beneficial fit for their capabilities within this procurement. Given the framework's multi-provider approach, there are ample opportunities for collaboration and contract awards across the different service lots.
