RIMNET Monitor Network - Supplier Forum

Notice Description

RIMNET is a nuclear radiation monitoring and emergency response system which was installed in 1988 to monitor the consequences for the UK of nuclear incidents abroad following lessons learned from the Chernobyl accident in 1986. The system is now utilised in the UK response to all major radiological events. The network consists of over 200 gamma dose rate monitors around around the UK, as well as key UK nuclear power plant sites. The contract will be for the operation, maintenance and eventual replacement of the current network, as well as the supply of new monitors to enhance the current technology. BEIS is planning on launching the ITT in Q2 FY 2022-2023, by beginning of July at the earliest. This notice is for a 1-2 hour virtual supplier forum to enable suppliers to attend a further market engagement session. This event is in response to some potential bidders wishing to explore forming consortia. Suppliers will receive updates on the procurement strategy and meet other organisations in the market with a view to partnering. The event will take place on the 23rd May 2022 from 2pm-4pm.
