        "description": "Following a procurement, Hertfordshire County Council has awarded a contract for the Provision of Superfast Broadband in Hertfordshire. This is an award notice and this opportunity is now closed. The successful supplier is - Lot 1: No award, as no tenders or requests to participate were received. Lot 2: British Telecommunications plc Lot 3: No award, as no tenders or requests to participate were received. The estimated total value of the contract is PS11,000,000.00 and is the original estimated value of the full procurement, however the awarded value for this award notice is likely to be under this amount, as Lots 1 and 3 have not been awarded. The contract will remain in force for between 9 and 11 years, comprising a build period of an initial core term of 2 years, with the option to extend the build period for period(s) up to a maximum further 2 years, at the Council's sole discretion. This will then be followed by a services (wholesale access) period of 7 years.
