Note1: The 'Period of Work Start Date' and 'Period of Work End Date' are only indicative dates for the purpose of this PIN. The refined estimated dates will be provided at the Invitation To Tender (ITT) stage. Note2: Additional information from Section II.2.4 - Critical elements of scope are likely to include but are not limited to design and construction of: Temporary works including multiple site compounds with the associated security, access, car parking and logistic requirements. Station upgrades, including extensively remodelled stations and rail depots. Line of route works with significant earthworks, hard landscaping, retaining walls, roads (surfacing), over bridges and under bridges, utilities and 9km of viaducts. In addition to civil requirements, the scope is likely to include services, for instance, archaeology, surveys, ground investigation and traffic management. The project requires the integration of systems to run a fully operational railway with the key elements of railway systems likely to include but not be limited to: Permanent way, signalling, overhead lines, electrification, rolling stock, system timetabling, stations systems, data and telecommunication systems, and customer integration systems.
