Notice Title
Continued provision of Web Casting at Southend-on-Sea City Council
Notice Description
Southend-on-Sea City Council is looking for continued provision of Web Casting services using the current equipment installed by Public-I Group Limited. The contract will include the provision of web casting in the Council Chamber of council meetings, links to the Civica Modern.gov system for the delivery of meeting papers for councillors and the public. The equipment for the Council Chamber is leased from Public-I and this contract includes the replacement of equipment as nears end of life. Southend-on-Sea City Council has investigated the possibility of going out to the market with the potential of a new provider reviewing the web casting needs and potentially installing new equipment, however the Local Government Reorganisation introduces a possibility that a new Mayoral Combined Council (MCC) may host its Full Council meetings outside of Southend. It was decided that it not be economically advantageous for Southend-on-Sea City Council to undertake a procurement exercise to replace all the web casting equipment in the Council Chamber and Committee Rooms, if the new system would not be used. If the new MCC is established, all contracts will be reviewed. If the new MCC decides that this contract should be procured early, then a compliant procurement process will be undertaken.
