Medical Simulations Devices and Technologies
Notice Description
Supply Chain Coordination Limited ("NHS Supply Chain") is developing a Medical Simulation and Technologies Framework. This Framework includes but is not limited to; Full body simulation manikins, adult forearm manikins used for IV training, birthing simulators and physical and immersive training aids. The aim is to ensure we can support our customers with simulation, related immersive technologies and training aid requirements as the need for more effective and advanced training becomes ever important. The Lot structure is as follows; Lot 1: Human Patient Simulators Lot 2: Task Trainers Lot 3: Surgical and Procedural Trainers Lot 4: Immersive Technology / Virtual Clinical environments and Recording Lot 5: Performance Recording Systems & Software The Authority estimates that, in the first twelve months of the Framework, the total value of purchases under it will be around PS72,000,000. For the full 48-month term, the anticipated value is around PS210,000,000 excluding VAT. These values are approximate only and are based on the most recent historical usage information, with a forecasted level of usage. The values provided are for guidance only and are not a guarantee of business with successful Tenderers. Lot Information
Human Patient Simulators
Covers full-body manikins that simulate human patients, ranging from basic CPR models to advanced high-fidelity simulators. These are used to train clinical assessment, decision making, and multidisciplinary team responses in realistic scenarios without risk to patients.
Renewal: The Framework Agreement will have a term of 24 months with the option to extend for an additional 24 months for a total of 48 months.
Task TrainersThis Lot includes specialised training devices designed for practising specific clinical skills (e.g. cannulation, suturing, airway management). These trainers focus on repetitive skill development with realistic anatomy and feedback to support competency assessment.
Renewal: The Framework Agreement will have a term of 24 months with the option to extend for an additional 24 months for a total of 48 months.
Surgical and Procedural TrainersThis Lot comprises simulators for advanced procedural and surgical training (e.g. laparoscopic, robotic, or interventional procedures). These systems replicate anatomy and clinical environments to enable hands on practice, performance measurement, and procedural competency development.
Renewal: The Framework Agreement will have a term of 24 months with the option to extend for an additional 24 months for a total of 48 months.
Immersive Technology/Virtual Clinical environments and RecordingIncludes VR/XR/MR technologies, virtual environments, and recording solutions that deliver scenario based training. These solutions enable immersive, interactive learning experiences and support team training, decision making, and debriefing through playback and analysis tools.
Renewal: The Framework Agreement will have a term of 24 months with the option to extend for an additional 24 months for a total of 48 months.
Performance Recording Systems & SoftwareThis Lot focuses on software solutions for designing, delivering, and analysing simulation training. These systems provide performance tracking, reporting, data analytics, and potentially AI driven insights to support competency development and workforce improvement without supplying physical hardware.

Planning Information
To support the development of a comprehensive strategy and set of requirements, Supply Chain Coordination Limited (“NHS Supply Chain”) (the Authority) is initiating a Preliminary Market Engagement (PME). This process is intended to consult the market and identify potential suppliers capable of meeting the emerging goods and services requirements. Through this engagement, the Authority aims to understand supplier capacity, explore opportunities for innovation, and ensure all interested parties are informed of this opportunity. The Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) will cover the following activities: • Interested suppliers are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) via the Jaggaer system. • Suppliers who express an interest will be provided with the draft specifications and product list, which are currently under development. This is expected to take place in March 2026 (STC). The Authority will invite feedback and assumptions based on these documents • We will maintain regular dialogue with suppliers who have expressed an interest, initiating exploratory conversations to understand their offerings and assess alignment with our requirements. These conversations will take place via Microsoft Teams, telephone, or face-to-face meetings, depending on suitability and availability . • Suppliers who have expressed an interest in this opportunity are encouraged to engage with us through scheduled calls, meetings, and other appropriate channels.
