Summary of the contracting process

The InnOvaTe Project: Internet of Things Supplier Engagement Event is currently in the planning stage, facilitated by Sutton Council in England. This initiative, part of a collaborative effort with London Councils to implement an Internet of Things (IoT) project across five south London boroughs—Croydon, Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Richmond upon Thames, and Sutton—aims to enhance quality of life through a multi-purpose IoT platform. The engagement event is set to conclude on 21 January 2020, providing prospective suppliers an opportunity to learn about the procurement approach and participate in the programme's "Idea Competition".

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in technology, especially those focusing on sensors, telecommunications, and data transmission equipment. Companies that specialise in software development, IT services, or consultancy services would be particularly well-suited to compete for roles in this innovative IoT project. Engaging with this supplier event can help businesses not only understand the procurement aspirations but also network with key stakeholders and increase their visibility in the public sector.

Notice Title

The InnOvaTe Project:Internet of Things Supplier Engagement Event

Notice Description

South London Partnership is working with London Councils to deliver an exciting and innovative "Internet of Things" (IoT) project across the five south London Councils of Croydon, Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Richmond upon Thames and Sutton. This initiative is funded by the Strategic Investment Pot (SIP) as part of the London Councils Business Rates Retention scheme which is administered by the City of London Corporation, and hopes to improve people's lives through the delivery of a multi-purpose Internet of Things (IoT) platform, which will connect various sensors across borough boundaries. Partnering with Digital Catapult and Kingston University, we will be conducting a number of pilots over the next 3 years to inform possible future adoption of this new technology at a much larger scale. We'd very much like you to join us at this Supplier event where we will explain more about the programme, our intended future procurement approach and tell you about our exciting "Idea Competition". The aim of this event is to give all relevant Suppliers a deeper understanding on the project goals and procurement aspirations, as well as deliver guidance and advice on how to be successful in proposals for the "Idea Competition", including further information on the judging criteria itself. At the end of the session there will be an opportunity for you to ask questions about the wider procurement approach, the "Idea Competition" and talk to those involved within the programme Additional information: Please follow the link to register: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-innovate-projectinternet-of-things-supplier-engagement-event-tickets-85258457341?aff=ebdssbdestsearch
