Summary of the contracting process

Glasgow Clyde College procured maintenance of its fire and intruder alarms, CCTV, access-control systems, external barriers and service intercoms, including maintenance of existing equipment across its Cardonald, Anniesland and Langside campuses in Glasgow. The requirement also covers security and fire-system work, with an addition for emergency break-glass devices, Galaxy Smart RIO and monitoring units programmed to trigger fire-alarm class-change tones. The purpose of that addition is to support compliance with Martyn’s Law. This is a specialist security-equipment maintenance service (CPV 50610000), rather than a supply-only purchase. The contract will now include the installation of emergency break glass, Galaxy Smart RIO, and monitoring units at Glasgow Clyde College, with programming to trigger fire alarm class change tones to ensure compliance to Martyn's Law.

Renewal: It is expected that these services will be required from 15th September 2024 for an initial period of 2 years, with Glasgow Clyde College having the option to extend. There will be the option to extend twice, for up to 12 months each time. At the sole discretion of Glasgow Clyde College, subject to satisfactory performance and budget. The contract will be renewed upon expiry.
