Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Government is inviting suppliers to participate in its extended Telephony and Communication Services Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), which will remain active until 27 March 2028. Located in Glasgow, this public procurement initiative primarily covers general public services and is managed through a restricted procedure. It's currently in the tender stage with the main procurement category being services. With its focus on telephony and communication services, the DPS includes two lots: Telephony and Communication Services and Enterprise Bundled Services. Suppliers must refresh and resubmit their Single Procurement Document (SPD) within six weeks of the contract notice issuance to remain part of the system. The DPS remains open for new applicants, providing ample time to prepare and submit bids electronically via the Public Contracts Scotland portal.

This tender provides substantial business growth opportunities for firms specialising in telephony and communication services, including voice call services, broadband provision, and telephony software services. It is particularly suitable for businesses experienced in delivering these services with at least 12 months of operational activity. Companies with expertise in bundled services encompassing mobile voice and data could benefit significantly from participating in the DPS, offering a range of solutions through this versatile procurement process. Given the absence of volume guarantees, applicants can expect flexibility in addressing individual call-off requirements, allowing for tailored offerings that could enhance competitive positions in both the public and private sectors. Community benefits are an integral part of the requirement, further enhancing the appeal for companies committed to social responsibility.
