Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Government is looking to establish a multi-lot Technology Peripherals and Infrastructure Framework Agreement, focusing on the procurement of goods in the IT sector. This initiative, part of an open procurement method, is currently in the awarded stage with key suppliers such as Computacenter and Softcat engaged in two lots: the IT Hardware Catalogue and IT Infrastructure Projects. The last significant activity occurred on 7th June 2022, following the signing of contracts on 13th May 2022, with the framework aimed at delivering services across Scotland.

This framework agreement presents substantial growth opportunities for businesses offering technological solutions, particularly large suppliers in the IT peripherals and infrastructure space. Companies that specialise in General IT, Audio-Visual solutions, and Networking equipment would be particularly well-positioned to participate. The framework allows for varied contract types, encouraging versatility and innovation in response to complex service requirements throughout the UK.
